Prescription Lenses

Thinner and lighter spectacle lenses play an important part in today's more attractive eyewear. Made of slim hi-index materials, these lenses are particularly helpful if you have a high power prescription. No longer will you need to wear thick, unsightly lenses or have your choice of frames restricted. |
It is also worth considering one or more of the special coatings that are now available for lenses. In particular we recommend anti-reflection (A-R) and scratch-resistant coatings. They improve your vision, make your glasses look better and prolong the life of your lenses. For example, an A-R coating virtually eliminates the light reflected from the surface of your lenses. As a result, there are no disconcerting reflections to get in the way of direct eye contact. This significantly improves the appearance of your spectacles. An anti-reflection coating will also dramatically improve your preception of lights whilst driving at night. This can be particularly important when reducing glare from oncoming headlights thereby giving you better peripheral vision. |

These days, multi-coated lenses are increasingly being used in spectacles. They combine anti-reflection, scratch-resistant, water-repellent and UV light protection to give you excellent lens performance, durability and safety. |
